Artek Helsinki hosts FIN/JPN Friendship Exhibition
Two cultures meet at Artek Helsinki when the FIN/JPN Friendship Collection premieres in Finland
Artek’s FIN/JPN Friendship Collection was born to mark the 100 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan. After its premiere in Milan during Salone del Mobile, the collection is now available in Finland for the first time.
In addition to showing the new collection, which unites traditional craftsmanship with contemporary and classic designs from both cultures, the FIN/JPN Friendship Exhibition at Artek Helsinki includes an exclusive selection of Finnish and Japanese crafts.
The designs by Aino and Alvar Aalto, Akira Minagawa, BUAISOU, COMPANY, Jo Nagasaka and Koichi Futatsumata are presented in an installation by Finnish designer Linda Bergroth.
