Evoking spring cherry blossoms, the Kirsikankukka textile pattern was created by Aino Aalto in 1933, inspired by a gift given to her by Madame Ichikawa, the wife of the Japanese ambassador to Finland. In celebration of the friendship between Finland and Japan, Artek re-introduces a cotton textile with Kirsikankukka pattern, printed in Kyoto.
