With Artek turning 90 and Moomin marking 80 years since the publication of the first Moomin story, 2025 is a time for celebration. The Artek + Moomin collection raises a toast to shared values of inclusivity and togetherness. Stool 60 Celebration and Cabinet 250 Celebration have been selected and designed to welcome the unexpected guest in the way Finnish hospitality is best experienced—when impromptu and informal. 

The products are illustrated with a mix of doodle-like line drawings and hand-written texts from Tove Jansson’s earliest notebooks and Moomin stories, reminiscent of furtive scribbles on an old school desk. During her lifetime, Tove Jansson would leave such illustrations as spontaneous doodles in unexpected locations and correspondence with her cherished friends and family. 

The refined yet playful form in which these classic Aalto pieces have been reimagined will appeal to every generation that has grown up with Tove Jansson’s timeless stories.
